Senior Staff
Abagail Kiem is the Content Editor for the 2024-2025 school year at DDHS. She is in Band, Theatre, Stage Crew, and Comet Mentors. Abagail is passionate about helping students, whether it be through an informational article or volunteering at different functions the school provides. She plans on expanding the Cometeer so everyone can experience the thrill of writing!
Josh Olson is the Tech Editor and manages the Cometeer website. Josh is involved in Student Council, he’s on the baseball team, and he interns at the DDHS IT Department. Josh enjoys academics and loves challenging himself. He hopes you appreciate the website and share it with your peers!
Staff
Grace is a senior at DDHS. She is involved with the Girls’ Golf Team, NHS, CCLC, Early College Credit Program, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Student Council. Grace plans on studying psychology and criminology in college and pursuing a career in investigation. Grace is excited to write for the Cometeer and learn more about DDHS and its students.
Harlie Seuser is a senior at DDHS and a staff writer for the Cometeer. She is involved in many other clubs like Hope Squad, Comet Mentors, NHS, and Student Council where she serves as president. Harlie is on the girls soccer team and loves to watch other sports at school. After high school, she is planning on attending college and majoring in Political Science. She is looking forward to improving and getting new ideas for this year’s publications of the Cometeer!
Joel is the senior sports analyst for the cometeer. Joel stars on the baseball team as a junior and is involved with a number of other activities. He is excited to be welcomed to the cometeer team.
Ty is a junior at DDHS and a writer for the Cometeer. Ty takes part in many different sports and after school activities. He is devoted to connecting Delavan-Darien High School and all of its different groups.
Dominic Gluchman is a Junior at DDHS. He’s involved in cross country, music, track, and does lights for the school’s theatre program. Dominic plans on going to college for historical studies and wants to become a history teacher. Dominic loves to write and is overjoyed to have this opportunity on the Cometeer.
Tanner Wagner is a junior, she enjoys writing about student life. She is also interested in photography for this year’s cometeer and excited to join the team. Tanner is involved in many clubs and sports surrounding the school and always wants to learn more about her peers.
Robert Paul is a junior student. He’s involved with FBLA and is on the basketball and baseball teams. He enjoys playing and watching sports. He is also an armchair GM for all teams in the NFL and MLB. Robert is thrilled at the opportunity to work with the Cometeer team.
Allison is a sophomore this year. She enjoys drawing, reading, and writing in her spare time. As well as being a Comet Mentor, she is delighted to be on the Cometeer staff this year!
Rei Kato is an exchange student from Nagoya, Japan, attending DDHS. He has been playing the piano for about 13 years and also plays the violin in the school orchestra. While his English is still improving, his curiosity drives him to write engaging articles on a variety of topics. He has a strong passion for photographing trains, which will make him a valuable addition as a photographer for the newspaper.
Logan Becker is a Freshman at DDHS who likes writing, sports, and other random stuff. Ask him about some time. Logan hopes readers of Cometeer recommend it to their fellow students and spread the word.
Owen is a freshman at DDHS. He is involved in cross country, swimming, music, and track. He also intends to pursue music education after high school and believes being in the Cometeer will help him in this pursuit.
Waylon Burdick is a Freshman at DDHS and a writer for The Cometeer. He’s involved in Theater, Marching Band, and the Drama Club. He’s a talented actor and storyteller and brings a smile to everyone he sees. He plans to become a railroad engineer or Broadway actor, and is very passionate about everything he does.
Cadence Is a freshman At DDHS. She is involved in Marching band, and Theatre. She has been playing the clarinet for 5 years now, and loves making her comics. Very friendly and likes to hang out (shes not actually mad in the picture)
Jeremy Johnson is a freshman at DDHS during the 2024-2025 school year. He participates in cross country, theatre, one-act plays, and Hope Squad. He plans to write articles that highlight decisions being made by the school that the student body may not be aware of.
