Rehearsals for “Fiddler on the Roof,” this year’s DDHS musical, began on Monday, January 3rd. Students practice Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3 to 6 PM.

The lead characters will be played by: 

  • Aidan Schuenke (Tevye) is the male lead. He is the poor milkman and the father.
  • Madalyn Barta (Golde) is the female lead. She is the mother.
  • Alison Archila Guerrero (Tzeitel) is the eldest daughter of the family and falls in love with Motel. 
  • Ty Hillson (Motel) is the poor and meek tailor who falls in love with Tzeitel. 
  • Kora Hertz (Hodel) is the second eldest daughter of Tevye and falls in love with Perchick. 
  • Logan Huerta (Perchick) is an outspoken student and revolutionist. 
  • Madeline Stark (Chava) is the third eldest daughter of Tevye and falls in love with Fyedka. 
  • Abagail Kiem (Shprintze) is the fourth eldest daughter of Tevye.
  • Emma Meinen (Bielke) is the youngest daughter of Tevye. 
  • Karyssa Green (Yente) is the town’s matchmaker.
  • Damien Crusan (Lazar Wolf) is the richest citizen of the town and wishes to marry Tezitel. 
  • Bray Peandro (Fruma-Sarah) is Lazar Wolf’s deceased wife. 
  • Vivienne Frenz (Grandma Tzeitel) is Golde’s deceased grandma.

*Other roles such as Fyedka (the Russian soldier), Constable (the Russian Military officer), and many others are to be determined along the way of production.

It will be a great show. The director, William Krueger, chose “Fiddler on the Roof” because he “wanted a musical with more ensemble participation than ‘Little Shop of Horrors’”. Save the date now for March 7-9, 2025.
