Go to college and
Leave me behind.
I went to your
Graduation
And your party,
But
I didn’t cry
Until I got home and realized
That you were
Leaving me behind.
I didn’t cry until the next
Sport,
Class,
And extracurricular came and
You weren’t there.
I would turn around
Go to say
Something
Anything
To you.
But,
You weren’t there.
And I bet that
College is treating you well
And you don’t
Think about me
As much as
I think of you.
And now I cry
Because I’ve realized
That you’ve
Left me behind.
