At the end of the choir concert on October 31, Mr Kreuger announced that for the 2024 musical, DDHS will perform “Fiddler on the Roof.”  The musical takes place in the small, Russian village of Anatevka. The story centers around a poor milkman named Tevye and his five daughters. Growing up in a tight Jewish community, Tevye instills traditional values into his daughters to change social norms. “Fiddler on the Roof” has many rich historical and ethnic details. Its main theme of tradition cuts across race, gender, nationality, and religion making audiences cry with tears of laughter and sadness.

Auditions for Fiddler on the Roof will be held in room 401 (choir room) after school.  If you or a friend wants to audition, the sign-up sheet is posted on the door of room 401. Make sure to be there at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time, as auditions often run quickly. If you want to join the ensemble, prepare a 30 to 60-second excerpt from a song. If you want to audition for a named character, then you should also prepare a 60-second monologue alongside the song. For more information, please contact Mr. Kreuger. Hope to see you there!
