Next year the DDHS English Department is offering new classes. A total of six new ½ credit courses will be available to juniors and seniors:

  • Film studies and composition
  • Literary explorations
  • Career and technical communication
  • Contemporary nonfiction
  • Speech
  • Methods of writing

These classes being brought to DDHS and DDTECH broaden the student learning experience by presenting non-traditional ways of learning. A prime example of this is Film Studies and Composition. This class, unlike other English classes, focuses on studying cinema as literature. Another unique class is literary explorations. This class allows students to choose the book they want to read compared to the norm of being required to read a specific book for a class. With all the new options, I bet you can find something about English class to like. Good luck with your selections.
