Students and staff of DDHS, we at The Cometeer have a special announcement to make: beginning today, an idea box will be posted outside our very own Ms. Dennis’ classroom. We hope that everyone can submit their ideas on what we should write about next! Is there a sporting event you think people should know about? Write it on a notecard and slip the idea in the box. Is there any gossip or are there any rumors that need to be investigated? Write it on an idea slip and let our writers do the work.
As you can see from the photo, a lot of love and care has been put into making this box by the awesome member of our team who made it (though he promises to make a better one if people start reading our articles). Now, with great power comes great responsibility, so if we find any – shall we say – not-so-nice things in our dear idea box, we at the Cometeer will be happy to inform Mr. Karedes of your little… misdemeanor.
Another thing, our staff can only write so much in a week (we’re students too you know), so we apologize in advance if your idea is not written about. That being said, we’ll try to include as many ideas as possible in our weekly publications, so don’t be shy about submitting ANY ideas.
And while I’m on the topic of students helping us out, we’d love it if you joined our little band of key clickers and pencil pushers. We have meetings every Friday for about 20 minutes or so, and really the only commitment you’ll need to make is to write a couple articles about whatever’s going on in school. We’re a great group of people and writing is definitely worth your time, so maybe just consider it. Email Ms. Dennis if you’re interested.
To finalize my point, The Cometeer would love to get more of the student body involved in what we’re doing, so the next time you see something interesting, write it down on a notecard and add it into our good old idea box.
