When it comes to leaving a lasting impact on Delavan-Darien High School, few can match the energy and involvement of Karyssa Green. Whether she’s diving into the pool, stepping onto the stage, or selling cookies as a young entrepreneur, Karyssa has made the most of every opportunity.
Go Warhawks!
Rhyssa’s future is full of ambition and heart. She’ll be attending UW-Whitewater after graduation, ready to take on the next chapter of her academic and personal journey. Her dream careers include performing under the lights of Broadway or helping others heal as a physical therapist. With her talent, passion, and work ethic, either path is well within reach.
All in, All the Time
To say Karyssa has been active during highschool is an understatement. She’s been a member of the swim team, basketball team, and softball team. She’s also been a star in the drama club, one act plays, and the school musical. Add in a marching band, Lydian Choir, and even running her own cookie business, and you start to get a sense of just how unstoppable she is. “And probably more,” she says with a smile, because honestly, it’s hard to keep track of it all.
Favorite Memory? Hard to Choose!
With so many amazing experiences, it’s no surprise Rhyssa can’t pick just one favorite memory. “I have lots of favorite memories from high school, I can’t possibly pick one,” she says.
A Soundtrack for the Journey
If her highschool years had a theme song, it would be “What’s Up?” by 4 Non Blondes, a fitting theme for the chaotic, exciting, and sometimes confusing whirlwind of a teenage girl’s life.
Words of the Wise
To the youngsters who are in highschool, or are soon to be, Karyssa offers some hard-earned advice: “Get involved, have fun, and don’t be stupid.” It’s simple, direct, and in my opinion, very Rhyssa.
In the Classroom
Among all of her classes, Symphonic Band and Lydian Choir stood out as favorites. She’s grateful to many teachers who helped her along her way, especially Mr. Drefs (former choir teacher), Mr. Stark, Mr. Krueger, Ms. Alonzo. Looking back, Karyssa wishes she had taken a more diverse set of classes, but her journey was anything but dull.
Highlights and Headlines
Her greatest moments? The recognition she received for her athletic achievements. As for her most controversial moments? Well, Rhyssa prefers to keep a little mystery alive.
Goodbye Karyssa!
With her endless drive, creativity, and heart, Karyssa Green is sure to continue making waves at UW-Whitewater and beyond. The world better get ready.
