The soccer season just wrapped up after a crushing 4-1 loss to St. Augustine Prep, but the program and the school reached new heights. They made the state playoffs, which is what teams should aim for because once teams get there, everything can happen.

The Comets finished with a record of 10-11-3 but achieved a winning record against the Rock Valley Conference teams with a record of 4-2, good for third place in the conference. The Comets team had a home record of 6-2-2, which is outstanding. For their last three games before St. Augustine Prep, the Comets fought through a gritty 1-0 in all three games, including one overtime win at Wisconsin Dells. Also, after their victory vs McFarland, the team got some cool hair dyes; the team dyed their hair blond-gold, symbolizing the gold medal.

They scored 51 goals this season, in contrast to 48 goals given up, a net positive of 3. The offense averaged about 2.13 goals per game, or first place in Rock Valley North. This shows how good our offense is.

In conclusion, the season did come to a disappointing end against a good team. The season was a success and the team will only improve and build from here.
